Andrew Ridgway raises £1200 for the charity
Andrew Ridgway decided to run the Robin Hood Half Marathon in memory of his teenage cousin Joseph who died after fighting cancer twice.
Andrew said he signed up for the annual event in Nottingham only six weeks prior – after hearing that
Tracy and Mark Cooper, parents of his cousin Joseph, had set up a charitable trust fund to fulfil their son's final wishes.
The 14-year-old was in remission for the second time when he died in June this year.
Tracy, 49, and Mark, 52, of Castle Donington, said that they were hoping to hold four events next year to raise money for the Joseph Cooper Trust.
I was going to enter next year but, when I realised they had set up the fund, I knew I needed to do it this year.
